The passage of time is hard to come to grips with, but Wise Jennings’ “Jumpin’ River” reminds us that it doesn’t have to be so bad. At least not if you’ve got a forceful voice and rollicking guitar licks attached to it. The band injects a rock’n’roll punch into what could have otherwise been a sleepy set of songs. The full EP is out, and it’s definitely worth your time.
