HEY! LISTEN: Love Crumbs — “Cavalcades”

I already played this song on the podcast last week, but I loved it so much I thought I’d feature it twice! If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, check out the debut single from Massachusetts folk trio Love Crumbs.

“Cavalcades” is a song with intensely political lyrics — perfect for today — and powerhouse three-part harmonies. If the Lumineers had a backbone, we’d have “Cavalcades.”

The
Love Crumbs trio is comprised of members Ali (lead vocals), Michael
(guitar/vocals) and Scott (bass). Fronted by Ali, whose passionate rasp
and powerful rock vocals draw comparison to iconic female powerhouses
Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin, Love Crumbs is musically and lyrically
influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, The Beatles, Bon Iver
and Fleetwood Mac.

With
stories involving triumph and overcoming personal trauma, Love Crumbs
holds nothing back – whether sonically or emotionally. Guitarist and
songwriter Michael says of performing together: “Creation and the energy
around creation is its own reward. Live performance is unlike anything
else. Playing music with others is both primal and timeless. It
transcends language. It’s a beautiful experience that I wish everyone
could have. Almost like another feeling, close to love or happiness.”
